With blogging it is a lot easier and quicker to get a thought out into the world. I also own and run a Christian website that I launched in Oct 2012 - The Path to Light. There will never be too many venues to get the word out - too many people who call themselves Christians follow Paul more than Jesus. We need to get back to the TRUTH.
A blog is also an easier venue for others to make comments about what I write.
