Know who you are serving!

               A while back, before I started this website, the owner of an Army/Navy surplus store asked me why God never answers her prayers. After talking a bit it became apparent that her prayers consisted mainly of asking for either money to meet her debts or for “miracle cures” for people on their death beds. Without going into detail I can say that she seemed satisfied with my response and thanked me. Sadly such questions are all too common. I have heard such questions from folks driving new cars and living in nice homes who defend their actions by saying they are asking for help with their bills and not asking to be rich. They are too blind to realize their life style is that of the rich for most of the world.

          Most folks have heard the old saying, “there are no atheists in a foxhole”. Both in and out of the military I have met many folks who do not give their Creator much thought until they want something from Him; and, they typically deride God when such desires are not fulfilled. These folks are usually at a loss for words when I ask them why YHWH should listen to them when they do not listen to Him. Some get downright angry when I point out that YHWH is their Creator not their banker or their doctor; and, even their banker sets standards they must meet to get money and their doctor has instructions they must follow if they expect his advice to do them any good. Those who ignore YHWH’s instructions should not be surprised when He ignores their desires.

           There are an increasing number of “preachers” leading “mega-churches” whose teachings come straight from psychology textbooks and who only cite the Bible when they can find a convenient verse to support their agenda - and then most of the verses are used out of context. The messages these anti-Christs teach are more akin to get-rich-quick schemes and/or a motivational speaker working the talk show circuit. Their pop psychology is making them rich though since it seems most folks prefer sound bites over explanations. The end results are false messages creating false hopes. Is it any wonder so many are led astray when they do not listen to Jesus? Jesus was quite clear when He said, “You are not able to serve God and wealth” (Matthew 6:24, Luke 16:13).

          How would any parent feel if the only time their child spoke to them was when they wanted something? How would any parent feel if their child ignored not just every rule laid down for them but every bit of advice as well? Do you approach YHWH with awe, love, and respect or with a wish list? Are you seeking His Christ or a cure? Are you offering Him worship or asking Him for wealth? If you ask for and get any earthly advantage - beware the wrong spirit! Satan is listening too!

Comment: Jesus was quite clear that those who follow him would be persecuted for it (John 15:20). He was also quite clear that he would not claim many that claim him (Matthew 7:21/22). Beware the rocky ground (Matthew 13:21).

There are many interpretations for the phraseology used jointly in Matthew 19:24, Luke 18:25 and Mark 10:25 regarding the camel versus rope versus gate debate (See Note¹). The point Jesus was making is basically the same no matter which interpretation you use. Simply read the verse which precedes it - e.g. Matthew 19:23 (See Note²). Jesus was just saying the same thing in a different way (See Note³).

Note¹ - As far back as the 4^th Century it has been said that "camel" is a Greek misprint; that kamêlos (camel) was a misprint of kamilos, meaning "rope" or "cable". The OGM uses “camel rope”.

Note² - For precept must be on precept, precept on precept; line on line, line on line; here a little, there a little. (Isaiah 28:10 - see also Isaiah 28:13) (Caution: The NET Bible has quite a different translation/interpretation for these verses in Isaiah - as does the DRB. However, the HRB, ISA, JPS, KJV, LITV and YLT all roughly follow the version presented here.)

Note³ - Such repetition was a common teaching method among the Jews dating back hundreds of years before Jesus. Jesus often used this method.

Man's Law = Artificial Intelligence

          One of the beautiful things about the US Constitution that is often commented on is its brevity. Indeed it is a masterful document that reflects the efforts of dozens of men who had a rich and detailed knowledge of human history. These men knew and understood the wisdom to be found in the observations made by those who preceded them - such as Cicero who said “Salus Populi Suprema Est Lex”. (The welfare of the people is the ultimate law.)

The Constitution they left became the supreme law of the land for the republic of these United States - which was then the freest nation on Earth. How many people today realize this “law of the land” was meant as a restriction on the government and not the people. Consider what John Locke said. “The end of law is not to abolish or restrain, but to preserve and enlarge freedom. For in all the states of created beings capable of law, where there is no law, there is no freedom”.

As I have discussed at length in the past these men also knew that law is useless without morals. These men were well aware of a knowledge that surpasses that of man - that which is found in an even older and greater document - the Ten Commandments. No codified system of law has ever come near the Ten Commandments for depth of wisdom or succinctness.

Man-made laws, written and unwritten, originally served to preserve and protect the community. Even as societies grew in size and complexity the law still primarily served to inform everyone, member and outsider alike, what was acceptable and unacceptable behavior. Sadly whenever tyrants gained power the law became a tool of power used for social engineering and experimentation. Such is the case in the US today.

When the US began its laws were based on the Bible and on English common law - which was itself, in large part, based on the Bible. Today, in the US, most of the laws passed are contrary to the teachings of the Bible and in many cases require a profound lack of morals to follow. Man-made law is no longer concerned with fairness or justice - only power and “legality”.

We are all biologically created equal; but, we are raised in unequal social environments which transform us into unequal social creatures. As such fairness and justice will never be found by the laws of man. Only YHWH’s law offers complete equality and fairness for eternity. Only YHWH’s law produces perfect justice. The reason is simple. Only YHWH’s law is given to us out of love. Like a parent who restricts a child to protect them His law offers us love and safety.

Deception - Satan at his best

Thought

Anyone who truly wants to serve YHWH should be aware that they are volunteering in the war between war good and evil. Sometimes this is also referred to as a war between YHWH and Satan; but, that is actually giving Satan credit for a standing he does not have. Satan is not a contender to replace YHWH. There is only one self-existent Creator God. Have you ever heard of an anti-God? Probably not but you probably have heard the term anti-Christ. Satan is the adversary of Jesus the Christ of YHWH and as such Satan could be said to be the general of the army of evil. I believe Satan knows he cannot defeat YHWH; but, Satan covets the honor, power, and glory YHWH chose to bestow upon Jesus and so became “the adversary”.

          Any general worth his salt knows the value of deception. History is full of examples that prove this, whether legend or fact, from the Trojan horse to Patton’s inflatable army. Satan, as a general, is no exception and he is often referred to as the father of lies (John 8:44).

Satan is so experienced at deception that he employs every trick in the book and then some - disinformation, straw men, honey traps, camouflage, cover and concealment, etc. A prime example: Jesus is, was, and always will be the head of His church; but, Satan got man to focus instead on the first, titular, earthly, “head of the church” or “father of the church”. Debate has raged for millennia - Peter or Paul! Yet in reality it was neither Peter nor Paul. It was James who was selected as an earthly “leader” after Jesus returned to Heaven. Even then we see that the decision to replace Judas was done by committee and the casting of lots and was not at the discretion or direction of any one man. Hence James was more a “senior elder” who acted as spokesman for the group and whose counsel may have been deferred to on divided issues. Yet for centuries a point of contention between Catholics and Protestants has been who has the final say here on Earth. Catholics claim Peter and hence rely on the words of a pope as “the authority”. Protestants refute this claim and instead rely on the words of Paul. Both sides ignore the facts and have spent centuries arguing over a moot point. (Watch any debate between a “Catholic scholar” and a “Protestant scholar” and it will be “the pope says” versus “Paul said” - YHWH and Jesus are rarely if ever mentioned!)

Satan’s deception has worked so well that few follow the teachings of Jesus and instead follow the teachings of either a pope or Paul. It is said Satan’s greatest trick is convincing people he does not exist. If so then his second greatest trick is deceiving those who refuse to serve him into withholding that same service to his opponent Jesus - this by getting them to give allegiance instead to a pope or Paul.

          It is essentially a fact of life that every war will have “collateral damage” among so-called non-combatants. In the war between good and evil Satan has many who serve on his side - even if unknowingly. YHWH, as Jesus told us (Matthew 22:14), has few on Earth who serve Him. Many who thought they were serving YHWH will find they were not (Matthew 7:23). How can that be? Perhaps because most so called “Christians” follow the teachings of a pope or Paul instead of following the teachings of Jesus. Most will be little more than cannon fodder for Satan or collateral damage.

          So how can one know if they are truly with YHWH? The answer is as easy as: Who do you follow? Who do you love and obey? Consider the key to the kingdom as two sided - one side is love and the other is obedience - like a pair of scissors the one half only works when employed with the other.

Comment: Satan loves to deceive through distraction. Consider the debate of faith versus works. Again we find two halves of a whole which, like the scissors, requires both. No matter what a pope or Paul said Jesus taught it is not faith or works - it is faith and works. Who do you follow?

How can you tell who side a person is really on:

*The word translated as deceiving is planaō: Strong’s number G4105 - from G4106 - to (properly cause to) roam (from safety, truth, or virtue), go astray, deceive, err, seduce, wander, be out of the way.

 

Of Tyrants & Terrorists

          The United States has been repeatedly attacked by Muslims and in response declared war not on the attackers but on their methodology - terrorism. Since that time the US government has been manipulating the definition and usage of the terms involved in this war. Only Muslims who attack other Muslims are terrorists. Muslims who attack non-Muslims are not called terrorists but are criminals entitled to the protection of the rights of American citizens; but, Americans who commit crimes are in many cases are now classified as terrorists. The US Government is at war with its own people.

          In some respects one can see why the US Government is hesitant to tell its people the truth. If they did people would realize just how bad the situation is. The same apparatus responsible for the failed war on drugs is responsible for protecting us from “terrorists” - this includes the federal intelligence, border security and law enforcement communities as well as state and local law enforcement agencies. The Department of Homeland Security, et al, are much better equipped to protect their Governments from the people than they are to protect the people from anything - whether we speak of drugs, terrorists, or Ebola. This especially holds true for the newer militarized law enforcement agencies.

          US Governments are so busy conducting surveillance on their own people they are continually “surprised” by the actions of “Muslim criminals”. US Governments are so busy conducting SWAT raids on their own people the federal government cannot spare the law enforcement officers to protect the border.

While US Governments struggle to reinterpret the US Constitution so they can confiscate the arms of the American people the federal government is simultaneously arming Muslims that continue to attack the US.

The CDC has been so busy doing studies for the liberal agenda (how big a soft drink serving should be to fight obesity, is gun violence a disease and gun ownership a symptom, etc) that it was caught with its pants down when Ebola reemerged.

The picture looks bleak indeed but wait, Houston though, the 4^th largest city in the US, is apparently so safe and crime free they have the resources to spare to criminalize “Christian” speech! US Governments are apparently winning one war. Not the war on drugs or the war on terrorism, but the only war they are truly putting an effort into - the war on YHWH. The Government has won the battle of prayer, the battle of abortion, the battle of marriage, etc. Soon their victory will be secure.

One of the God given rights we have is still practiced worldwide and is supported by the government of every nation that I know of - it is the right to choose damnation. The US government not only supports this right but in many cases is trying to force people to exercise this right.

Sharia law should be a Liberal’s worst nightmare. If sharia law comes to pass the Constitutional rights of freedom of speech and the freedom of religion will be eliminated completely. But that is just the tip of the ice berg. There will be absolutely no “separation of church and state”. Homosexuality will be illegal and punishable by death. Slavery will be legal and its practice widespread. Women, forget the vote, they will be third class citizens at best. The Amendment will be reinstated (banning alcohol). About the only “cause” the liberal agenda serves that will be approved of is pedophilia!

 

Generations of Wolves & Sheeple

         Generational lines are seldom clear cut but in the US there is a penchant for pigeon holing and labeling everything. In the US the generation that fought WWII is often called “the greatest generation”. I have had numerous very good friends among them and though quite a bit younger than that I do, as an “American” and a veteran of two US Armed Forces, have a great deal of respect for them; but, I would never say they were the greatest.

This was the generation that allowed FDR’s social experiments - and passed down the bills for them. They gave us “McCarthyism” and ran around the world collapsing and creating dictatorships all in the name of fighting a former ally (SEE NOTE ¹). They melded into the “baby boomers” and raised a divided generation - the kids that became both the warriors of the Vietnam War and the “hippie generation”.

The warriors continued running around the world collapsing and creating dictatorships. The “hippie generation” did not care to participate and was largely characterized by the focus on self-expression and social issues. Along with the elimination of social norms came the creation of the social welfare state. Along with desegregation in schools came government housing that became, in essence, segregated communities. Bra burning feminism brought Femi-Nazi’s along with it. This is the era of Johnson’s social experiments - and again the ever growing bills were passed down the line.

As “free love” melded into the next generation it came with a sky rocketing divorce rate. This melding is reflected in the focus of the next generation which may be characterized by a self-centered saying from the time “me, myself, and I”. As social norms continued disintegrating so too did “family values” and the “nuclear family”. An unintended pregnancy, instead of cause for marriage, became an inconvenience eliminated by ever increasing abortion rates.

Soon generational lines were becoming so blurred and the changes so incremental and indistinct that social commentators stopped using names and started using letters - Generation X, Generation Y, etc. (Where do we go after generation Z? Or do we?) The “AIDS epidemic” did little more than get homosexuality in the headlines and out of the closet and demanding the whole house or else. God, unless Muslim, became taboo - even though Muslim terrorists had been killing US folks since the Seventies and Eighties and the US has been at war with one Muslim nation or another ever since the Nineties.

While Generation X and Y meld and morph we find ourselves in various quagmires. There are energy issues bogged down with the love for labels real or imagined - “greenhouse effect”, “global warming”, “carbon exchange”, etc. Sexuality issues created their own labels - “gay pride” and the “LGBT Mafia”. Language and freedom have been stripped of meaning. Citizens accused of many crimes are now called “domestic terrorists” instead of criminals and killed by police forces trained as the military; and, non-citizen “terrorists” are instead called criminals and dealt with by a military used as a police force. Consider, “tolerance” becoming mandated as “forced support” (think LGBT) and “equal opportunity” forcefully mandated (think Affirmative Action). We are being forced to enshrine and promote everything except what and who many of the Founding Fathers were - “WASP Americans” - then it is illegal and called racism (the practitioners of which are labeled domestic terrorists and apt to be fined at a minimum and risk being arrested or shot). Fans of George Orwell’s 1984 have come to power.

         Our country was born as a constitutional republic and was known as these United States of America. Now THE United States harps on spreading a democracy we have never embodied or embraced ourselves - in a true democracy the majority rules. We have become worse than a social democracy in all but name.

We were once called “the melting pot”; and, once a nation built by courageous pioneers from the world over - honored to be called loyal “Americans”. Now we are becoming a land filled with people with little knowledge of, or desire for, honor or loyalty toward this nation.

We struggle with a population of illegal immigrants that outnumbers the entire population of many other nations. They are faulted by many for not integrating into our culture. But to what culture can they integrate - we are too divided. They are burdening a social welfare system already collapsing under the weight of too many native born citizens that have become sheeple that expect the Government to care for them from cradle to grave - none of whom have the courage of a pioneer. So the newer immigrants share not only the blame but the shame too.

         “The Greatest Generation” was the one that gave us the Constitution and these United States. We have been going downhill ever since we became THE United States. Once the Federal government began losing respect for the Constitution and the States lost their rights it was only a matter of time till tyranny reared its ugly head and another revolution became necessary. The government no longer respects the Constitution, or the States, or the rights of the people. We have a government of the sheeple, by the sheeple, for the elite.

         Martin King had a dream. I had a nightmare. Sadly, only mine is coming true. Can you hear that sound? It is called a death rattle. It is coming from what is left of these United States. It is revolting - so should we be: the US needs CPR - Christian Patriotic Revolution! This is not a revolt by a barrage of bombs and bullets. It is a revolt launched with love and the Law. It is a revolt waged with words and wisdom. It is a revolt of values and votes. Give your life to YHWH. Give your vote for His love, His Law, His words, His wisdom, and His values.

 

NOTE ¹ - The US has not quit applying the absurd “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” since then. This policy has historically failed. Obama is taking it to the extreme by supplying arms and training to rebel “non-State” Muslims groups we have fought for years as terrorists to fight against “Recognized State” Muslims we just fought as enemies and then just trained and armed again. Obama’s actions reflect “one enemy of the US, who is the enemy of another enemy of the US, is one of the weakest enemies of the US, so I’ll strengthen the weakest one now and pass the buck to the next generation”.
